Bible Study at New Zion complements and extends the teachings of Sunday School in that it teaches the historical perspectives of the bible and Biblical times as well as the characters and events that occurred during the periods covered. Bible Study invites discussion of personal situations and how events in your life relate to Biblical events. Moreover, it helps us to understand our religion on a more personal level and as we traverse our Christian journeys.
Adult Bible Study is held in the church Fellowship Hall each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Scriptures are studied chapter by chapter, verse by verse, providing insight into the historical perspective of what was occurring in the culture at the time of the writing. Lessons are taught primarily by Pastor Whitehead with assistance from Rev. Edward Christian, Dr. Brenda Christian (ministerial staff) and Deacon Robert Ashby Jr.
Youth Bible Study is also held on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. and is conducted by Brandon Randall, Daytime Bible Study meets on Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. and is taught by Deacon Robert Ashby Jr.
Join us on Wednesdays for vibrant and insightful discussion of the Bible and the peoples of Biblical times.
