Come and Join The Fun!

“Let’s Talk”...  “Date Your Mate”...   and More!

In January, 2010 Michael and Deborah Ham became the co-chairs of the  Couples Ministry. This ministry serves to provide spiritual tools,  guidance and activities that will allow married and engaged couples to  strengthen their unions with God at the center.  The Couples Ministry   seeks to promote open dialogue among couples who want to share, not only through biblical teachings, but also by engaging in fun activities,  both inside and outside of the Church as well.

The Couples Ministry sponsors quarterly sessions of  “Let’s Talk”, where  couples are given a venue to interact with other couples.  Another  Couples Ministry activity, “Date Your Mate”,  was established for couples to enjoy a dinner date, have fun, bring back memories, get to know other couples while  thanking the Lord for his guidance in our marriages.  The Couples  Ministry also sponsors an annual Valentine’s event. This event features a “Newly Wed Game”, modeled after the Newly Wed Game television show  which premiered in 1966 and seeks to determine how well couples know  each other through a series of questions posed to spouses.  Other games  may feature competition among teams on Biblical knowledge.

As a community service the Couples Ministry bi-annually compiles and  distributes a Church Business Directory which features small minority  owned businesses in the Williamsburg area. Through this directory we  aspire to encourage support of our local businesses.

We welcome couples to share their Christian experiences and ideas which  will continually aid us in developing a strong Christian based couples  ministry.
