“For  just as each of us has one body with many members and these members do  not have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one  body, and each member belongs to all the others.”   Romans 12:4-5

The New Zion baptist Church Singles Ministry was established in 2007 to promote spiritual and social cohesion among the  single adults of the church and community, and to contribute to the  overall well-being of the church as a group. The Singles Ministry  provides a forum for discovering our purpose as Christian singles  through God's Word.    In this forum we explore learning how to deal with  various issues affecting Christian singles. We also enjoy fun and  fellowship within our group. Among the activities sponsored by the  Singles Ministry are :

• Establishment and maintenance of the New Zion Baptist Church Emergency Disaster Kits. These kits are kept on hand at the church in the event that an  emergency should occur that would preclude persons from leaving the  premises for an extended period of time.
• Sponsors an Annual Spirit of Norfolk Gospel Cruise for the congregation and community
• Sponsors a New Year Singles Mingle

The Singles Ministry also supports and collaborates with other ministries of the church.

Members of the community who are not members of New Zion Baptist Church are  welcomed and encouraged to join this dynamic, spiritual group. Singles  Ministry events are announced on the New Zion News page
